Where do you live? Victor, NY suburb of Rochester
Where were you born? Bayshore, NY (Long Island) – lived there
for a year, then moved to Chicago, Ill (Bolingbrook) – for a couple of years,
then Columbus, OH (for a few more years) and finally landed in Ft. Wayne, IN at
age 7 – graduated from high school there and my Mom still lives there. I
consider myself a mid-westerner.
Did you go to college? What was your degree in? Purdue University,
– BS. Industrial Management, Minor: Manufacturing Management, Industrial
Engineering. Got my MBE at RIT, Executive MBA Program
Career? Crazy – 15
years with Eastman Kodak Company – various positions from Manufacturing
Management, Supply Chain Management and Lean Management. Left Kodak in
January 2007 to work for CooperVision as a Manger, Business Analytics and
Technology in the Global Supply Chain Organization. CooperVision makes
contact lenses.
Family? I am married to
my husband Jamie, for 11 years, with 2 kids – Celia, 4 and CJ, 2. We met
at Lloyds in Rochester, NY I lived on Park Ave at the time, and my friend who
lived in the apt. upstairs was interested in Jamie’s friend, Dennis. The
guys always went to Lloyds on Saturday nights. So, we went to Lloyds on
Saturday nights. Now – Leanne (my friend) in married to Dennis with 3
kids. And Jamie and I are married with 2 kids. Go Lloyds!
Do you know anyone with breast cancer or who has
had breast cancer? Yes, my Aunt Linda is a breast cancer
survivor as is her cousin, Darlene. In addition, since I have been
diagnosed – I have met tons of people that have had breast cancer.
Why did you decide to do the walk? What is your biggest fear about
doing the walk? My friend, Kristin Williams decided to do the walk
when she found out I had Breast Cancer. So - I am going to do it
too! My biggest fear: that my surgery timing or my treatment timing
won’t allow me to do the walk.
What are 5 things you want to attain in your life? I don’t really
make lists like that. I truly am, an “appreciate your life as it is” kind of
person. Be happy, enjoy life! That’s it.
Who is/was your biggest inspiration in your life? I have no
idea – I have some great friends and family that inspire me in different
aspects – work, motherhood, life….
What are your favorite things to do? Socialize – I am
an extrovert. I truly love to socialize with people. I enjoy running in
the mornings. I like to sit on my deck or in my backyard and read a book
(I don’t get to do that often as I have a 4 year old and 2 year old that needs
constant attention). I like to go on beach vacations. I LOVE summer
– I love that I can walk out of my house in flip flops and be comfortable, I love
the long days. I also love fall activities – like apple picking, pumpkin
patches, and college football – especially Purdue football!
What is your favorite food? Pizza, Italian cuisine, ice cream –
what do I eat most often? – chicken, salad, fruit, veggies – blah blah blah
What is your favorite TV show? LOST – hands down my
favorite! Others: Desperate Housewives, Brothers and Sisters,
Grey’s Anatomy, American Idol, The Biggest Loser
What is your favorite all time movie? Forest
Gump – I have seen it a million times. My sister and I repeat lines from
it all the time! And – our blogsite “likepeasandcarrots” come from a line
in that movie where says “Me and Jenny,
we was like Peas and Carrots” – most people don’t know that!
If you could live in any city in the US, which would it be and why? Rochester, NY - it is my home. It is where all of my friends are, and where I met Jamie and had my children. If I had to move - who knows...I guess that something more south where the winters are not so long - but not Georgia/Florida/Texas south! Or else - Chicago, IL - of all of the big cities, that is my favorite.
What is your dream vacation? Beach vacations are awesome! I also want to rent a Winnebago and
travel across the US seeing all of the sites with my kids (once they are old enough to do that.)
Favorite sport? To watch – college football. To
play: Ski in the winter, Swim in the summer (I’m really not much of an
athlete).

I believe that.... ife is worth living and
we should make the best of what we have each and every day. Be thankful
for what you have. God gives us what we can handle.
What is on your pizza? Usually
just cheese – to keep calories down. Also like white pizza with ricotta
cheese.
If
nobody buys a ticket to a movie do they still show it? No
- waste of money!
